  1. Research – the event and location for your stand plays an important role as you want to get in front of your ideal clients. Once you have booked your ideal location, set measurable goals and talk to the organisers about what they will provide on the day. How many leads or on the day bookings are you looking for? Does your stand include a tablecloth?

  2. Design your stand & keep to brand – you want to be eye catching and memorable! Have quality roller banners and display your leaflets and business cards neatly on the table or in racks. Keep your stand neat and approachable.

  3. Be seen & heard – a lot of effort goes into planning your event, so you want to tell as many people as possible about it. Send out invites, share on social media and include in your newsletters – advertise your event wherever you can.

  6. Be comfy – you are most likely going to be on your feet most of the day and the room can get quite warm as the event gets busier. Make sure you are dressed comfortably for the day and have water and snacks. If you have colleagues with you, try and rotate times so that you can take breaks.

  7. Share your benefits – you want people to know about your brand, products and services. Unfortunately you won’t have the time to explain all the features and benefits of what you offer. Tell your audience the BENEFITS your product or service have FOR THEM, and be concise.

  8. Make lots of notes – hopefully you have numerous conversations on the day that will need following up. To help you remember details or even names from a conversation – make notes! Either keep a diary or pop a few words on the business card the person has handed you.
